This year, fall styling feels so fresh and new. The sweaters that were tucked away can now come out; the sandals that were perfect for vacation can now hide until next summer. This season is all about carrying those bold colors from summer into fall to keep the looks alive while incorporating darker and earthier tones. There is no better color to style this season than red.
I am a big fan of lifestyle sneakers. In fact, I have more of them than sandals and flats combined. They are practical, sure, but when it comes down to styling, a good sneaker can have a cool effect on most looks.
I recently picked up these red sneakers (under $100), which have been so fun to wear and style recently. I am sharing with you a few ways you can style them with additional inspo at the end.
ADD ANOTHER RED ELEMENT

Have you heard of the sandwich method for styling? This is a technique where you have the same color theme at the top and bottom of your outfit, as shown in the left photo. This is a great rule of thumb, especially when playing with color, making sure you look polished. Draping a red sweater over your shoulders to accent the look of a classic denim and button-down works just as well.
WHEN IN DOUBT WEAR BLACK

I have to admit that my favorite look is the grey jeans and plaid blazer. This look is playful and sporty! An all-black look is always a top contender as well, because you cannot go wrong. Both of these looks are styled with wide-leg denim and a blazer, giving a nice contrast with the casual sneaker. What I love is that these looks can easily transition from day to night, swapping out the red sneaker for a red kitten heel.
TRANSITION WITH DARKER NEUTRALS

Lastly, start pulling out the khaki, olive, and burgundy colors. Red is the perfect way to make the fall color palette pop. I styled the sneakers with a utility style button-down, wide-leg denim, and the perfect leather bucket bag.
