And just like that, September is here! The tail end of summer has been flying by quickly. It’s all in the subtle changes of temperature and the leaves falling from the trees as the wind blows. I have had a unique summer, one that included some travel, some home updates, a lot of reading, and time for reflection. Going into this next season, I really want to embrace all that has been accomplished so far this year and understand that there is still time to tick off some items on the to-do list.
August favorites are a bit random. There are a few beauty favorites, a new home decor item I love, and something helpful for reading during the evenings.
- I have been LOVING this hair oil. I have been using it before I flat iron, and sometimes to touch up during the week. It leaves the hair so silky soft, and healthy looking. I think it is 100% worth the price.
- This dual-ended cream bronzer and blush stick has been a game-changer in my makeup routine. I used to be hesitant to use cream bronzer and blush – but this product is easy to use and blends into the skin beautifully.
- If you are like me and need to sleep in complete darkness for a good night’s rest, then you should try this eye mask. It has been a saving grace for me at night lately.
- I love to read at night. It helps to ease my brain and puts me to sleep. However, I needed a little more light to minimize strain on my eyes. This book light has been the best purchase for the month.
- My husband and I are in the process of slowly updating our house. I purchased this shoe cabinet for our front entryway. It turned out perfect with all the decor and has eliminated a lot of the shoes from the front door. My only feedback is that it does not hold men’s shoes or any chunky shoes. For reference, I am size 9.5, and it fits my flats, some sneakers, and mules.
- I think I have mentioned these in another post, but I reached for these Abercrombie jeans a lot (pictured above). I wore them to dinner and for casual outings. I love the fit and might need to grab another in a darker wash for the colder months.
