It was one of those topics that you think would seem pretty straightforward, but turned out to have a lot of opposing opinions. What a month October was! It was one filled with lots of events and family time. We are now in the last few months of the year, and I am determined to make the most of these days before entering the new year. Here are some things I enjoyed during the month of October.
Sweet sweet September! It was a wonderful month for so many reasons. It marked the beginning of something new for my family, and it was the kiss goodbye to summer for now and a warm welcome to fall.
Each season is a chance for a new re-fresh! With that, I take it as a sign to welcome in all that is new to my closet, of course. Each year, style preferences change, the fit of an item you loved might not be right anymore, or you feel new vibrant energy when you find that one special piece that you know you will reach for over and over. Here are some new things that I cannot wait to style this fall.
This year, fall styling feels so fresh and new. The sweaters that were tucked away can now come out; the sandals that were perfect for vacation can now hide until next summer. This season is all about carrying those bold colors from summer into fall to keep the looks alive while incorporating darker and earthier tones. There is no better color to style this season than red.
Many years ago, when I discovered the podcast The Simple Sophisticate, I fell in love with the idea of “petite pleasures.” Something small you may do or obtain for yourself that makes your life enjoyable or feel slightly elevated. I am sharing with you a few things I love that make my life feel a little more luxe, and as a bonus, I added some inspiration so you can too.
And just like that, September is here! The tail end of summer has been flying by quickly. It’s all in the subtle changes of temperature and the leaves falling from the trees as the wind blows. I have had a unique summer, one that included some travel, some home updates, a lot of reading, and time for reflection.
