Sometimes it is easy to forget that Instagram and the blog are two separate platforms. I wanted to do a little summer recap of some of my favorite moments, outfits, and places that I have gone too. To see more daily looks and lifestyle post- check out my Insta.
I wanted to do a post that is different from my usual book recommendations, styling post, etc. Honestly, I don’t watch as much tv as I used too, and even then I didn’t watch much. Now that it has been some time I figured I can list some shows/movies that I’ve seen and you can list your recommendations too!
How is it September already? I truly feel like the summer had two modes, it started and now it ended. Labor day marks the end of the summer and reveals a new excitement for the fall. I have already started to stock up on sweaters, which to some of you may be premature, but to me is the best feeling.
Reading has always been my favorite past time, but with a busy schedule and work loads that feel like they are never ending, reading tends to be kicked to the curb. Now more than ever, I am trying to get myself back into the habit of reading.
It is crazy to think that fall is right around the corner again! Summer surely has been flying by, that is why it is the perfect time to start thinking about your fall wardrobe. By the end of August I am ready to shed my summer clothes and layer up. Luckily for you and me, Banana Republic is having their Friends and Family event with all regular items on promotion for 50% off. Such a good deal! I have picked items that I think would make for a good start as you prepare fall outfits.
Ps: If you are not on their email list, sign up so that you can receive 50% off of your purchase!
For some people wearing jeans in the summer is just asking for having a day of discomfort, but for me I love jeans and quite frankly am not always in the mood for shorts, skirts, or dresses. However, there is only one condition to which I wear them. They have to be a girlfriend or boyfriend fit.
I had this dress sitting in my closet for a good part of the summer and I am so happy to finally share how I wore this dress for the summer. Who What Wear came out with the perfect summer dress that is classic and super affordable- two of my favorite things.
I am truly shocked by how fast this summer is going. I can hardly believe that we are now half way through July – but I will admit that I am looking forward to the cool weather again. Last week, a friend and I ventured out to Hawk Ridge Winery which is located in Watertown, CT. As soon as we made the plans I could hardly contain my excitement, because 1. I have never been and 2. it is always nice to catch up and spend some time with friends!
When it comes to summer, I find that it is the best time to showcase my more playful side with color and patterns. I tend to keep my outfits simple but I love to accessorize with statement bags. Again this summer I am all about the straw bags, wicker bags, and colorful embroidered bags that truly allow my summer outfits to POP!
It has been a hot minute since I lasted posted on the blog and I am really excited to get back to it! Now that we are officially entering the summer months, I have been building my wardrobe with the essential pieces that I know will be my go-to’s. In the past, I have always stuck to the simple jeans, tee, sneakers or flats rotation for the summer. I would always feel like that would be a safe bet for me as I would always struggle with what to wear.
