September has been quite an eventful month! It started with my wedding and honeymoon and has now quickly transitioned back to reality with the fall in CT. This summer has flown by faster than previous years, and I know it has to do with all the wedding prep and excitement around the day!
Summer is all about linen and light fabrics! I wore this beautiful white linen dress by Quince with a cute summer bag. This dress will continue to be a summer staple for next year.
Quince is a brand I discovered through Instagram. I loved their brand ethos, which revolves around good quality products at competitive prices with a mission to create sustainably. I was fortunate enough to work with Quince over the summer to share a few of their pieces, and this dress was one of them. Read more on when I found Quince here.
This BA&SH dress is like no other that I have in my wardrobe. I love the open back and the pleated detailing. This dress is great for a date night or any cocktail event. It also comes in multiple colors, but, you cannot go wrong with a black maxi. I paired it with white kitten heels and one of my favorite bags I received for my birthday.
This summer, I had so much fun testing new nail shapes and styles in preparation for my wedding. I was absolutely in love with these ombre nails with an almond shape. I am not a big fan of French nails on me, so I found this style similar without such a harsh line. The gradient is subtle and it photographs nicely which is a plus.
Honeymoon time! My husband and I visited Croatia again this year to vacation and celebrate our wedding. My husband is from the region so it is very helpful to travel with him since he speaks the language fluently. There is nothing better than finding a quiet bay to get away. The water was calm and beautiful and if you travel in September, it is past tourist season which is nice. I tried to pack light as you only need basics. I find wearing athletic dresses and sneakers to be the best, especially along the coast. I did pack only a few nice dresses in case we decided to go out for dinner.
I am not sure what it was about this summer in particular but I enjoyed Aperol Spritz 🙂
One of my favorite evenings during our honeymoon was when we took a cable car above Dubrovnik. We were able to experience such a beautiful sunset over the city. We took time to walk around the old town and saw some familiar places that were iconic to the Games of Thrones series.
To sightsee I stayed comfortable in a white summer dress, converse, and wore my belt bag.
I love a good maxi dress! This dress in particular is one that I always look forward to wearing out. I love how it complements my shoulders and collarbone. Unfortunately, it is a bit older so I do not have a link to share. I paired it with a white summer bag and these silver ballet flats I have been wearing nonstop.
