Winter can be a difficult season for most. The cold and evenings that are dark early make it difficult to feel motivated and excited. There are some key things I try to do to keep myself busy and entertained throughout the winter so it does not feel as dreary as it looks. Read more to see what I have been doing this winter.
- Trying a new recipe at least once a week – I love Pinterest and Instagram for this. I am constantly looking for ways to be creative with my meals and find new and delicious comfort foods. So far I have tried Potato Leek Soup, Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup, Zucchini Tomato Soup, and more.
- Found new shows to watch – I have started Shameless which has a healthy eleven seasons. My Fiance and I have been watching Boardwalk Empire and True Detective.
- I’ve been working on the blog and IG content daily.
- Reading at least 30 minutes per day.
- I picked up knitting again which is so therapeutic. I am nearly done with my first scarf.
- Embracing more social time with my friends and discovering new restaurants.
- Visiting my family every week.
- Working on goals for next month/ year.
- I’ve been in the thick of wedding planning, which has kept me busy.
- Focusing on my self-care.
