Hydrate Your Skin with these Sephora Sale Picks

Skincare is always important no matter your age. Now more than ever I have been paying attention to the needs of my skin as the season changes and wearing the masks continues. Skincare is an investment, but it is a necessary one to maintain a clear complexion and soft supple skin. Sephora is currently running a sale so I wanted to share with you a few of the skincare favorites that I use more consistently now that the weather is changing.

I have oily-combination skin, but I have never been afraid to use oily products on my skin (if that makes sense). Just think, “like dissolves like” so by adding oils to my skin I find that my skin absorbs the product and doesn’t look or feel oiler. This is compared to me using drying products which then forces my pores to overcompensate for the lack of moisture and therefore has to produce more oils to protect the skin. I use Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate because I find my skin to look and feel healthy when I wake up. A little goes a long way with this product! I noticed that it also helps to minimize blemishes which is good now that maskne is a thing to deal with.

With oils or serums, you want to lock in that moisture. I like to use a lightweight cream such as Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer. If you’re looking for a moisturizer that is going to work for fine lines and complexion correcting then this is not the one for you. It is simply a hydrating lotion for the skin.

I don’t know about you, but my lips chap really easy which leads to bleeding and discomfort. My bad habit of bitting them does not help… so that is why I love this Laneige Sleeping Lip Mask. It soothes my lips and works overnight to restore the damage that was done during the day. It makes for a great gift too!

I’ve been using this OleHenriksen Truth Serum for a few years. It brightens the complexion and adds an extra layer of protection. It works great under makeup too.

I am definitely a huge Laniege fan. When it comes to super hydrating products I think they do an amazing job. The Cream Skin Toner and moisturizer is really gentle and I love the fact that it does not leave my skin feeling dry like some other toners do. I use this after I cleanse my face but before the Midnight Concentrate oil or a sleeping mask.

The Water Sleeping Mask is by far my favorite mask. It has a gel texture that is bouncy and light. It is the mask that I use most during the winter months to lock in serums and oils.

My second most used mask is the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask. Some reviews say it doesn’t do anything or they do not notice a difference in their skin, but I believe it does work. I use it more as a heavier moisturizer and I do not rinse it off. It is a mask to keep skin hydrated. It will not work for breakouts, uneven complexion,  or redness.
