The other day I stopped into H&M quickly because I enjoy browsing to see what trending fall things they have. I have to say, they have so many good pieces out for the fall right now from coats to chunky knits, to wide-legged corduroys.
I walked through the whole store and picked some pieces (all of which are under $40) to style three outfits that I would wear this season.
OUTFIT ONE: I was instantly drawn to these pants and knew that I wanted to style them. I kept it simple by wearing a blush chunky knit sweater that brought some light to this look. The pants are a bit fitted in the leg and hip accenting the waist. It is all about playing with proportions and I thought a looser fit on top would compliment the pants well.
*Wearing size S in sweater and size 4 in bottoms
OUTFIT TWO: This look is definitely inspired by the trends that we are currently seeing with satin/ silk blouses and wide-leg pants. I paired these two pieces together because I really love the mix of the soft satin blouse with a more rigid fabric like the corduroy. I adore a neutral look and I love that these pieces can be paired together or separate.
*Wearing size 2 in blouse and size 4 for corduroys
OUTFIT THREE: I find that you cannot go wrong with wearing a black pant and a statement blouse. What I like about this top is that it can easily transition from work to night, or be paired with jeans for a more casual look. I know for some it can be a fashion faux pas to mix black and brown, but personally, I love the way these colors look together. The blouse has some sinching in the waist area that is really flattering.
*Wearing size 4 in blouse and size 2 in pants (size 4 would have been better)
