It is now the time of the year when I begin to feel frustrated and uninspired by my winter clothes. Knowing spring will be soon around the corner has me anxiously waiting to pull out the beautiful florals, stripes, and vibrant colors.
Now that we are getting closer to the end of the winter season I have been trying to work with what I have in my closet in order to save some money for spring/ summer items. Pinterest has recently been my go-to tool for outfit inspiration in order to help me look for ways to help liven up my wardrobe for the remainder of this season.
ACCESSORIZE
The easiest way to elevate your everyday look is by accessorizing. Wearing something as simple as jeans and a sweater can look more put together with something so simple as layered necklaces, adding a pair of fun earrings, wearing a headband, or even adding a silk scarf to your hair. It is truly amazing what a little accessorizing can do for your outfit.
I’ve always thought of accessories as the exclamation point of a woman’s outfit.

POP OF COLOR AND PRINT
I noticed that almost every day I have been wearing black. As much as I love an all-black outfit, I realized how desperately I needed to switch it up. I started by trading in the black and grey pieces for something a bit more vibrant. I noticed that when I added color or print I would receive a lot more compliments and I truly felt more spirited.
REPLACE YOUR MOST WORN ITEMS
Now that it is getting towards the end of the season, there is no better time than now to try to find replacements for your favorite worn winter items. Whether it be a new winter coat or a new pair of boots, I promise you’ll feel like a million bucks!
START TRANSITIONING INTO SPRING
Spring collections are starting to roll out in many stores right now which is like a breath of fresh air. I love the idea of wearing florals in the winter because not only is it a bit unexpected, it will get you excited for more spring pieces to come (and also the warmer weather). I currently have my eye on this rose gold dress and this yellow top.
SWITCH UP YOUR OUTERWEAR
To be honest, some days people do not even see what I am wearing underneath my coat. Wearing a super fun coat can instantly upgrade what could be your most boring look but, no one will know since your outerwear will be the first thing people see. Personally, this is my favorite way to dress comfortably but look good at the same time.
