Some Shoulder Action

This week CT has experienced a heat wave that took me by surprise, it is unfortunate though that it has not lasted too long. Speaking of summer heat, off the shoulder pieces are a summer must-have. I have put together two outfits from Tobi, which are both ideal summer looks.

The first outfit is a romper that I think encompasses the essence of summer. It is easy to wear, lightweight and makes for a quick comfortable outfit. Since I am tall (6ft to be exact), I was initially a bit hesitant about how a romper was going to fit me. My long legs seems to like to make everything seem shorter than it should be. Overall I was very impressed by the way the romper fit! Definitely tall girl approved!! Besides dresses, rompers are one of easiest outfits to put together and always look good. Without all the heavy fabric, this romper is breathable and so perfect for these super hot/ humid days.

For the second look, I styled a cropped cold shoulder blouse. I am obsessed with this look! I think that this cold shoulder top is appropriate for a night out with the girls, a date night, or a party. The long sleeves make this top look more luxurious and the billowy details adds the right touch of girly. Since this top is cropped I wore high waisted jeans, and stuck to black flats even though they can be traded for a pair of killer heels.

There are so many reasons why off the shoulder pieces are easily a favorite for the summer. My favorite reason is because I think that they add a sexy factor to a casual look, or even a more muted glam look. There is something that I find to be appealing with showing off the shoulders and décolletage if done in a classy and subtle way.

    1. Yay!! Tall girl power! As for workouts I am really bad at getting my daily exercise at the moment but I walk a lot, especially when I am in NYC I like to walk to where ever I have to go (within reason). I really have to get back to working out! I love doing lunges and squats really help too.
