It has been a while since I last wrote one of these weekend post. Personally, I love reading these types of post because I always end up discovering something new, or there might be a blog post that I read during the week that I loved. So I wanted to start back up with this series! Grab yourself some coffee or tea… and enjoy!

Why waking up at 4am is essential for productivity and self-discipline: Once in a while I’ll hop onto youtube to watch anything that might be interesting whether it is about style or makeup, something to do with productivity, etc. I ended up watching this video by Casey Neistat because I was intrigued by the title “Navy Seal Commander Explains Why Wake Up at 4am” – watch it and tell me what you think. I was not always a morning person, but slowly I trained myself to appreciate waking up and getting work done early. I wake up everyday around 7am which to me is early enough, but I end up not being productive. What is your take on this?

Fall Reading List from Southern Curls & Pearls: I am asked often how I find all the books that I read. A good amount of the times it is from blogs that I browse. I also find books through Instagram. I love to follow Reese Witherspoon’s book club as well as Oprah’s. I always end up browsing in Target, Costco, BJ’s, and the library. If I want even more books to add to my list, then amazon is the best place to start!

I love this list that Caitlin from Southern Curls & Pearls put together. There are many classic novels that are perfect to re-read in the fall as well as some thrillers!

The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah: I am currently reading this book and loving it! The author captures moments of WWII so perfectly and realistically that I feel like I am experiencing all the emotions with the characters. Her writing is eloquent and beautiful!

I bought these boots: I have been trying to be more discipled when it comes to spending and saving. Fall tends to be my weakness season because I am obsessed with everything that encompasses this season. Boots, scarves, sweaters… you name it. Well, I have been eyeing these nutmeg slouchy boots for a while and pulled the plug. They are a beautiful boot with a wearable heel. I am so excited to start sharing with you how I style them.

Alessandra Ambrosio’s home tour: Beautiful decor that reflects her personality.

Everything you need to know about voting: Midterm elections are only around the corner! Jess Ann Kirby put together a great post about being an informed voter!

Add these motivational podcasts to your list: I am a big fan of podcasts. I tend to enjoy podcasts that are motivational and about business. I love to learn, and what I love about podcasts is that there is something to learn from everyone. It is essentially like gaining free advice, learning how someone put in the work to get to where they are, or even just straight motivational so that YOU can get to where you want to be. I find the best time to listen is on my commute to work- or anytime I am in the car. By not having the distractions of home, it is easier to concentrate so that I really gain from each episode.
