BR Friends & Family: Preparing A Fall Wardrobe

It is crazy to think that fall is right around the corner again! Summer surely has been flying by, that is why it is the perfect time to start thinking about your fall wardrobe. By the end of August I am ready to shed my summer clothes and layer up. Luckily for you and me, Banana Republic is having their Friends and Family event with all regular items on promotion for 50% off. Such a good deal! I have picked items that I think would make for a good start as you prepare fall outfits.

Sloan Pants: I own a pair of sloan pants and they are hands down the most comfortable and flattering pant that you can have. Once you know your size in these pants, it is easy to shop for more. These pants may be a thicker material, but they are perfect to wear year round. Even though they may hug the leg more than a typical pant, they are still work appropriate.

Jumpsuits: What I love about jumpsuits are that they make the perfect seasonal transition piece. I believe that they are office friendly and perfect for casual to party events, not to mention super convenient when on the go.

Sweaters: My favorite part of fall is being able to wear sweaters and layer. Being a New Englander, classic preppy layering calls my name. These three sweaters below are a few of my favorites that BR has out right now. For the first one, I love the red trim across the v-neck. The color blocking of the navy and white, and red makes this sweater look more sporty. Anything with french writing I love and cannot resist, so I naturally need the second sweater!

Joggers: Joggers are the perfect weekend wear. I find that not only can they be worn in the summer, but when styled with a chunky knit and booties, the whole look screams chic and cool at the same time for fall. Joggers are the perfect alternative for those days when you want to look put together but with minimal effort.
